Esade Foundation Board of Trustees and values
The Board of Trustees is the highest governing and representative body of the Esade Foundation (the Esade-URL titleholder) and operates within a framework of collaboration between the Society of Jesus and civil society. Half of the members of the Board of Trustees are appointed by the Provincial Father of the Society of Jesus. The other half – esteemed individuals from business, legal, academic, and cultural spheres – are appointed by co-option after considering the opinion of the Foundation’s Assembly of Members.
Esade-URL's mission focuses on three axes: firstly, training and the promotion of a set of values consistent with human quality and academic and professional excellence, such as integrity, diversity, as well as contribution to the common good; secondly, research to generate knowledge that helps improve organisations and society; and thirdly, social debate to build free, prosperous, fairer, and more sustainable societies.
Esade-URL aspires to influence the character and values of its students to create a fairer and more sustainable society through technology and innovation – as well as strengthening a more humanistic vision of education.
