Ramon Llull University is the best Spanish university in "Management" according to Shanghai ranking

The results place Ramon Llull as number 1 in Spain and among the 150 best in the world in Management and Business Administration
 

Thursday, July 4, 2019. Ramon Llull University (URL) is consolidated among the 150 best in the world in Management and Business Administration according to the Global Ranking of Academic Subject, published by Shanghai ranking. Specifically, it appears in the 101-150 ranges -from 100th position, universities are grouped in the same bracket.

With these results, URL is positioned as the best in Spain in Management and the only Spanish university in this range of positions. Likewise, it also occupies the number 1 in Business Administration and shares this rank with other Spanish institutions.

A part from the URL as a whole, the ranking also places ESADE-URL Business School among the 150 best worldwide in Business Administration. In Management, it is ranked 151-200 in the world.

This is the third edition of this prestigious ranking and it is also the third edition in which the URL as a whole and ESADE have been classified.

In order to be analysed in this classification, institutions need a minimum number of scientific publications during the period 2013-2017. In the case of Management and Business Administration there are 50. Subsequently, universities are ranked on the basis of five indicators:

• The number of papers authored by an institution in an Academic Subject during the period of 2013-2017;
• The ratio of citation of papers published by an institution in an Academic Subject during the period of 2013-2017 to the average citations of papers in the same category, of the same year and same type
• International collaborations in publications
• The number of papers published in Top Journals in an Academic Subject for an institution during the period of 2013-2017
• The total number of the staff of an institution wining a significant award in an Academic Subject since 1981.
