Thursday, May 14, 2026. ESDI-URL (affiliated center) has been recognised at the first edition of the Work Forward Awards 2026 by Bernadí with its Showroom IBQ Textiles project, winner in the Product Design category. The awards ceremony took place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona during an event dedicated to reflecting on the future of workspaces and showcasing emerging talent in design, interior design, and architecture.
The award-winning project is the new showroom for IBQ Textiles, a company specialising in high-performance technical fabrics. The space has been designed to convey the brand’s identity and showcase its materials, applications, and solutions in sectors such as protection, mobility, and lifestyle.
The proposal was developed by second-year Interior Design students Sara Gómez and Anna Pedragosa as part of the Commercial Space Projects course. The project was supervised by David Pablo and Raúl Fidalgo Glück, with construction management by ESDI student Aida Martí Bosch and project coordination by ESDI-URL student Ariadna Font Pacho from IBQ Textiles.
The result is a versatile, dynamic, and functional exhibition space that combines industrial materials with a technical and contemporary aesthetic. Through its design, the showroom clearly explains IBQ Textiles’ unique value proposition and creates an immersive experience around its products.
This recognition highlights ESDI-URL’s commitment to education connected to the real-world challenges of the professional sector. The project exemplifies the importance of collaborations between universities and businesses, offering students the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world contexts and develop proposals with an impact beyond the classroom.
With this award, ESDI-URL reinforces its position as a university design school focused on innovation, experimentation and connection with the business sector.
