The FUCE Board meeting and General Assembly are held in Zagreb
Tuesday, May 26, 2026. On May 20, 21 and 22, the in-person meeting of the Board and the General Assembly of the European Federation of Catholic Universities (FUCE) was held at the Catholic University of Croatia (Zagreb).
A review was made of the joint teaching and research activities carried out during the past academic year, and the planning and direction of future initiatives of the Federation were discussed, such as the FUCE Summer School 2026, the FUCE Mobility Scholarship, and, notably, the FUCE Double Degree Model, an initiative that offers the opportunity to obtain two degrees from two member universities in a combined way.
Other topics related to the future of the alliance were also addressed, such as new candidate universities to become part of FUCE. The meetings included conferences and working sessions on topics such as the sustainability of universities in the face of demographic change, the impact of digital transformation and new technologies, and the role of European University Alliances.
