La Salle-URL, new member of the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence
Tuesday, February 7, 2023. La Salle-URL is a new institutional member of the Associació Catalana d’Intel·ligència Artificial (ACIA), a non-profit association that promotes artificial intelligence in Catalan society and whose objective is to support communication between people and organizations linked to artificial intelligence, while promoting social, cultural, scientific, economic and governmental awareness on the subject.
In this way, La Salle-URL consolidates its position as one of the leading entities in Catalonia in the study and research of topics related to artificial intelligence. In this way, it joins other Catalan universities, institutes, foundations and entities that are already part of the association.
Every year, and for more than 20 years, the ACIA has organized the International Congress of the Catalan Association of Artificial Intelligence (CCIA), a meeting that serves to promote debate on the latest advances in artificial intelligence. In addition, ACIA also organizes other activities and conferences, rewards the best works related to the subject and supports research in artificial intelligence.
