Esade Executive Education is one of the world’s top three in all categories related to educational experience including curriculum design, teaching method, teaching material, excellence of teaching staff, acquisition of skills and competences, and subsequent follow-up

Monday, May 23, 2022According to the Financial Times, Esade is the fourth best business school in the world for executive educationwith particular mention of categories related to educational experience and learning. These categories, ranked highest in the ranking, include particularly the quality of the pre-registration procedure, program design, teaching method, teaching materials, excellence of teaching staff, acquisition of skills and competences, and subsequent follow-up.

According to Marc Correa, dean of Esade Executive Education, “the need to update, acquire and develop new key skills and update competences, a category in which the Financial Times has ranked our programs #3 in the world, is increasingly urgent and companies face the challenge of the need for increasingly specialized executives”. “As a result,” he added, “we have invested heavily in order to provide hyper-customized, flexible and specialized education with the latest immersive technologies, able to cater for present-day needs.”“The best example of this commitment is the In/On hybrid program (60% online and 40% face-to-face) that we developed in 2018. It combines the best of the analogical world with the best of the online world” explained Correa. To be precise, the aim of the In/On methodology used by Esade Executive Education, and highlighted by the Financial Times in this ranking, is to enhance the learning process by means of digital resources that boost knowledge acquisition, e.g. interactive content, assessment tests, discussion groups and synchronic sessions, amongst others. These custom programs based on lifelong learning equip executives to deal with the digitalization challenges of the economy and the business world such as artificial intelligence, fintechs and legal techs; others more consolidated such as emarketing and strategic innovation; and areas highly sought after, now and in future years, such as diversity and social impact.

Highest rankings in satisfaction of participants and companies

The Financial Times Executive Education ranking, based on the opinion of program participants and the assessment by this British publication of different aspects of programs, has two different sections: Open programs and Custom programs for companies.

In Open programs, Esade Executive Education ranks #4 best in the world. This result, according to the dean, “is the result of making executives the focal point of the education process, enabling them to design their own academic journey whilst finding solutions for their educational needs that are compatible with their personal and professional agendas.” “With this strategy, Esade continues to advance content customization and flexibility between online and face-to-face modes,” said Correa, “making Esade the first business school to enable the customization of executive masters with new designs in response to real-life, present-day challenges by means of ecosystems enabling genuine innovation, with a range of programs focused on what executives really need, including programs different from those usually found in business schools.”

Along this line, the dean of Esade Executive Education explained that “the new portfolio of Open Executive Education programs is designed in response to executives’ needs and offers different programs and innovative design in terms of both concept and methodology”, citing by way of example the new Advanced Management Program (AMP), which is far more experiential, and unique programs such as “Diversity & Inclusion” and “Reimagine HR”, to be launched soon.

The Custom programs taught by Esade Executive Education rank #8 in the world, a position which as Marc Correa emphasizes, “showcases the fact that our programs cater fully for corporate needs.” “This is possible thanks to our experience in guiding companies through their transformation, a factor ranked #7 best in Europe by the Financial Times,” he explained before adding that, “the work of our new Corporate Learning Solutions division in developing custom educational solutions for global benchmark companies, and also our alliances with strategic partners, are of crucial importance along this road.”

Education ecosystem and impact measurement

Another of the most highly rated aspects of Esade Executive Education is the development of the multiverse ecosystem – where traditional partners in the education sector meet with new partners in science, and consultants and tech firms of international prestige – and the evaluation and measurement of the impact of the programs. One example is the MiSK Foundation 2030 Leaders Program driven by Esade in conjunction with an ecosystem consisting of Accenture, CERN, CLL, Willis Towers Watson and Minerva, whose aim is to lend support to the Saudi Arabia 2030 Vision and the economic and social reform of that country by training high potential professionals in new technologies and sustainable development.

“The increasing complexities of the job market and the business world call for a form of education that translates into real results. For this reason, Esade Executive Education also uses new technologies to measure the social and economic impact that the acquired knowledge and competences have upon professionals and society,” concluded Marc Correa.
