Dr Joan Rodon, new dean of Esade Business School

Monday, November 21, 2022. Dr. Joan Rodon, Esade professor, has been appointed the new dean of Esade Business School and will take up this post at the end of the second mandate of the previous dean, Dr Josep Franch, pursuant to the Esade Foundation by-laws.

As the new dean of Esade Business School, Joan Rodon will contribute not only his academic experience as associate professor in the Department of Operations, Innovation and Data Sciences at Esade, but also his outstanding career at Esade spanning more than 20 years, particularly his work as deputy dean of Research and Faculty, associate dean of the Bachelor in Business Administration, and head of the Department of Information Systems.

With this appointment, Esade continues to consolidate the role of its Business School as a benchmark for excellence in management education and for relevant, impactful research. In recent years, the school’s main programs have established themselves in prominent positions in some of the most important international academic rankings. In addition, the increased internationalization of students has continued, with 117 nationalities on campus this year. The on-going innovation of the bachelor’s and master’s programs is also noteworthy, with subjects ranging from artificial intelligence and data analysis to digital business, sustainability and globalization, in response to changes in industry trends and the needs of today’s job market.
