Ramon Llull University is the best Spanish university in "Business Administration", according to Shanghai Ranking

Wednesday, 2 June 2021. Ramon Llull University (URL) consolidates its position among the top 100 universities in the world in the discipline of Business Administration and among the top 150 in Management, according to the Global Ranking of Academic Subject, published by the Shanghai ranking. Specifically, it appears in the 76-100 ranges in Business Administration and in the 101-150 ranges in Management. It also appears in the 401-500 ranges in Physics.

With these results, the URL is the best university in Spain in Business Administration and the only Spanish university in this range of positions. It also ranks number 2 in Management in Spain, in the 101-150 ranges.

Apart from the URL as a whole, the ranking also places Esade-URL Business School in the disciplines of Business Administration (ranked 101-150) and Management (ranked 151-200).

This is the fifth edition of this ranking, considered the most prestigious worldwide, and it is also the fifth edition in which URL as a whole and Esade-URL have been classified.

In order to be analysed in this classification, institutions need a minimum number of scientific publications during the period of 2015-2019. In the case of Management and Business Administration, the publication threshold is set in50. Subsequently, universities are ranked on the basis of five indicators:

• The number of papers published by an institution in an Academic Subject in journals with Q1 Journal Impact Factor Quartile during the period of 2015-2019.
• The ratio of citation of papers published by an institution in an Academic Subject during the period of 2015-2019 to the average citations of papers in the same category
• International collaborations in publications
• The number of papers published in Top Journals in an Academic Subject for an institution during the period of 2015-2019
• The total number of the staff of an institution wining a significant award in an Academic Subject
