HTSI-URL adds Thomas More University as a new academic partner

14.07.2020

Tuesday, 14 July 2020. The School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi and Thomas More University of Applied Sciences (Mechelen, Belgium) have signed a collaboration agreement for the exchange of students, professors and staff with the Belgian university.

With this agreement, HTSI continues its international expansion, expands its list of academic partners and promotes the internationalization of its students so they can develop their academic skills in different cultural contexts.

With this collaboration agreement, the School continues to expand its network of academic partners. Right now, that network is made up of 25 universities, such as School of Hotel and Tourism Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Hong Kong), Taylor’s University (Malaysia), Johnson & Wales University (USA), University of San Francisco (USA) or the Oxford School of Hospitality Management-Oxford Brookes University (UK).

Thomas More University is the biggest university for applied sciences in Flanders. It offers more than 30 bachelor’s and postgraduate programs, as well as English-language exchange programs for associated universities.

Students who choose to spend some time studying abroad always enjoy the advice and support of both the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management Sant Ignasi and the destination university when it comes to choosing classes, paperwork, visas or housing.

University exchange programs are highly recommended. Students get to experience other teaching methods, practise foreign languages, learn to be more flexible and adapt to new situations, get to know other cultures, etc.
