23.09.2020

QS Global MBA Rankings 2021 rate the Esade-URL FT MBA as 6th best in Europe and 13th worldwide

Wednesday, 23 September 2020The QS websites TopMBA and TopUniversities rank five of Esade’s Masters of Science in Management (MSc) amongst the best in the world: MSc in International Management (4th); MSc in Marketing Management (4th); MSc in Business Analytics (8th); MSc in Finance (11th) and MSc in Global Strategic Management (12th). This classification is joined this year by the QS Global MBA Rankings 2021, which ranks the Esade-URL FT MBA as the 6th best in Europe and 13th worldwide after climbing 4 positions.

According to Josep Franch, the dean of Esade Business School, "these results reflect the diversity and relevance of our programmes – the product of a unique teaching model". "They also demonstrate the effectiveness of our new curriculum design,” he added, “which addresses the challenges of globalisation and digitisation by means of a modern, innovative and inherently digital learning experience that enables us to train leaders able to adapt to new ways of thinking and working by means of disruptive leadership".

Masters of Science in Management, the future of employment

The QS Business Masters Rankings 2021 situate five of Esade’s Masters of Science in Management (MSc) amongst the best in the world: MSc in International Management (4th); MSc in Marketing Management (4th); MSc in Business Analytics (8th); MSc in Finance (11th) and MSc in Global Strategic Management (12th), making Esade-URL one of the few business schools in the QS ranking in which a majority of its programmes rank amongst the world’s best. One reason for this success is the high employability of graduates of this sort of programmes: 91% find work within three months of graduating, rising to 96% in the case of graduates from the Esade-CEMS Master of Science in Management.

In the words of Josep Franch, the dean of Esade Business School, "this excellent performance is driven by the tight-knit, on-going collaboration between our students and the business world coordinated by Esade-URL via their academic itinerary, featuring teaching by corporate executives, and also thanks to the stellar role of the Esade Careers Services". "Our team of experts gives our students customised tutorials, a broad spectrum of workshops to develop management skills, plus recruitment fairs and many personalised services including the Career Acceleration Programme and interviews on campus", said Franch.

A constantly evolving MBA

The considerable climb of Esade’s FT MBA from 8th to 6th position in Europe (13th in the world, up four positions globally) in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2021 demonstrates Esade’s successful commitment to the on-going transformation of their postgrad programmes to keep pace with new market demands by incorporating innovative content, greater flexibility and more elements of life-long education, plus a combination of first-rate blended learning.

All this is reflected in QS’s great praise for Esade-URL students’ employability and return on investment: two aspects that this Anglo-Saxon publication emphasised with regard to Esade’s FT MBA, along with diversity, enterprise and leadership.

"At Esade-URL, we feel that the key to MBAs remaining an important part of an executive’s education is the ability to innovate and keep pace with future teaching trends, so ours has kept evolving since 1964 and remained a market benchmark", explained dean Franch, for whom such trends go hand in hand with “digital disruption and a job market changing faster than the education system. Students need innovative learning experiences different from traditional business training, within a framework of a globalised landscape with new players, rules and spheres".
