The URL is consolidated in the 2nd group of universities with the highest teaching performance in Spain, according to U-Ranking

The ranking especially highlights the results of the URL in the indicators of "success rate", "non-dropout rate" and "evaluation rate", which are above the average of universities
 

Friday, 26 April 2019. For the fifth consecutive year, Ramon Llull University (URL) is among the second best teaching performing universities in Spain, according to the indicators of U-Ranking. It especially stand out especially the URL’s indicators of "success rate", "non abandonment rate", "evaluation rate" and "budget/students", which are well above the average of universities.

This year, the U-Ranking, an initiative of the BBVA Foundation and the Valencian Institute of Economic Research (IVIE), has evaluated 62 universities, 48 public and 14 private, based on the analysis of 25 indicators. According to their coordinators, "private universities continue to stand out in the ranking of teaching performance, as of the top 10 in the ranking, 6 are private". As a whole, they add, "private universities obtain an average teaching performance 11% above the average of the Spanish University System".

Apart from analysing the teaching performance of the universities, the universities are also evaluated and classified according to their research activity, in which the URL is located in the group of the 10th universities of Spain, and in innovation and technological development, where the URL appears in 19th position.

Finally, in the general ranking, which takes into account the three activities of the universities (Teaching, Research and Innovation and Technological Development), the URL appears in the group of universities with the 7th best performance, thus slightly above the national average.

In the presentation of the results, it was highlighted once again that, as far as the autonomous communities are concerned, the Catalan university system is the one that obtains the highest average performance: 118 points, compared to Spanish average of 100.
