IQS invites you to the XI lecture of the ChemBioEng IQS Talks series «Molecules and Light – A Perfect Combination» by Prof. Burkhard König, University of Regensburg.
Prof. König – Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Regensburg and a world-leading expert in photochemistry and photocatalysis – will explore how visible light can be harnessed as a powerful, clean, and selective reagent in chemical synthesis.
The lecture will highlight key advances in light-driven chemical transformations, including photocatalytic cross-coupling in aqueous media and the reversible control of pharmacological activity through light-induced molecular changes.
Prof. König’s pioneering research has established visible-light photocatalysis as a central tool in sustainable chemistry and continues to inspire innovative applications in synthesis and photopharmacology.
