Signing Ceremony of SACRU-FAO Letter of Intent: «Enhancing resilience of food systems to promote food security»

Agri-food systems need to transform across the globe to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Many call for new paradigms and multi-stakeholder collaboration to develop new knowledge and support innovation that can result in systemic change. 

The event will provide an overview of how FAO and SACRU Alliance will collaborate to develop capacities on food security, nutrition and sustainable and resilient food systems at national and regional level through improving knowledge exchange and research, innovation, data sharing and dissemination; and to raise awareness and ownership of good policies and practices in agri-food systems that lead to progress towards the SDGs. 

The event will be held in a virtual format. Participants will include FAO staff, Permanent Representatives (Australia, USA, Spain, Chile, Brazil, Japan, Italy and Portugal) and delegation of the universities of the network that will be connected virtually.
