Open Class "From the functions of structural intervention to the rehabilitation of the 21st century" with Robert Brufau Niubó

With the second decade of the 21st century, a new way of projecting structures has arrived, since the analysis tools for projecting have radically changed and it is developing very rapidly. The concepts that are being introduced most are optimization, related to both formal and sustainability criteria, and the collaborative model, thanks to the BIM methodology that allows integrating all agents and construction disciplines.

The technological revolution is also obvious in the intervention in existing buildings, and the way to approach these actions will be analyzed in this open class. We will show a very personal classification, based on professional experience and the objectives to be met in order to improve, fix, complete or transform an existing building.
