La Salle Digital Coffee "Role of the CIO. How the COVID-19 has affected the IT area and future challenges"
Online
The current situation of global crisis has placed the figure of the CIO at the center of the company's operations. Firstly, to continue ensuring its operations and guarantee business continuity through actions such as teleworking, ensuring communication or cybersecurity, among others.
Once this obstacle has been overcome, it is now when the CIO and the rest of the board must collaborate to adapt the company to the changes that take place: consumer habits (B2C), transactions between companies (B2B) and relationship with the employees themselves. It is time to highlight the importance of digitalization and the empowerment of the IT department as a catalyst between technology and business.
