Un investigador de La Salle-URL guanya el premi Marc Esteva d'Intel·ligència Artificial
Barcelona, 15 d'octubre de 2012. El Dr. Álvaro García Piquer, jove de 29 anys graduat i doctorat a La Salle-URL d'impressionant trajectòria, rebrà aquesta tarda el premi Marc Esteva a la millor Tesi en Intel·ligència Artificial.
Durant l'any 2012 Piquer ha obtingut un Excel·lent Cum Laude per la seva tesi, desenvolupada sota la direcció del Dr. Albert Fornells i la Dra. Elisabet Golobardes, i titulada Facing-up Challenges of Multiobjective Clustering Based on Evolutionary Algorithms: Representations, Scalability and Retrieval Solutions. En pocs mesos el seu treball li ha fet guanyar una segona recompensa: el premi atorgat per l'Instituto de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial en memòria de Marc Esteva Vivanco, prometedor investigador del CSIC mort el desembre passat.
Avui el Dr. García Piquer forma part del Grup de Recerca en Sistemes Intel·ligents de La Salle-URL.
