Green Chemistry meets Industry: “Sustainability as a game-changer in process chemistry”

For the Life Science Industries, sustainability has emerged from a curiosity to a license-to-operate topic. More specifically, modern technologies in the field of green chemistry are key enablers to improve the carbon footprint of the active ingredients in production. Dr. Krüger will provide insights into the field and showcase examples from the industrial practice.

Dr. Krüger holds a Ph.D. in organic synthesis and catalysis from the University of Marburg and Postdoc at Caltech with Prof. E. Carreira. He has 27 years of professional experience in Pharma R&D and Production. Currently he is the Global Head of Process Chemistry at Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
