Online Courses
ONLINE COURSES OFFERED in THE ALLIANCE
WHO CAN APPLY
All degree-seeking students of all institutions of Ramon Llull University, who are registered for the academic year, may apply. Ramon Llull University’s students cannot enrol in the online courses offered by Ramon Llull University.
COURSE OFFER AND APPLICATION
You can find the specific application process for each ENGAGE.EU university within the FICHA of every Online Course in the catalog (clicking the “how to apply button”). Students apply online at the partner university that offers the course. The common application period for fall term/winter semester 2025/2026 lasts from June 2 - June 30 2025.
ENROLLING IN MULTIPLE COURSES
Students can apply to follow courses at more than one partner university in the same semester; however, the student will have to check for scheduling conflicts once the course schedules are published.
Important note: Before applying, consider if it is realistic for you to combine OEI courses with your studies at Ramon Llull University and any other obligations. With a successful application, you will be enrolled as a student at the partner university, so it should not be submitted without the intention to participate.
CREDIT TRANSFER
At the end of your virtual exchange, you will receive an official transcript of records which you will need for the credit transfer process at your own institution. You will have to submit the official transcript of records to the Academic Office at your institution. If you complete an entire module, you will also receive an ENGAGE.EU issued confirmation ('Supplement').
Ramon Llull University has 3 established ways of recognising the ECTS credits earned through an ENGAGE.EU OEI course. Each institution in the URL has the authority to decide with which of these to recognise the credits, which will depend on the program you are enrolled in, and the subject you have taken online.
The three different forms of recognition are the following ones.
- Recognition for a similar subject to one in the curriculum that the student is currently studying.
- Recognition or transfer as an extension of credits in the student's curriculum, in the case that it is not assimilated to a subject.
- Recognition for participation in university activities -Maximum 6 credits- (Regulations for the “Recognition of university cooperation, solidarity, cultural, sports and student representation activities of the Ramon Llull University”).
Ask for course approval at your Ramon Llull University institution for the courses you want to follow as soon as you apply with an ENGAGE.EU partner.
For all other credit transfers on bachelor’s and master’s level, please contact with the academic director of your programme at your institution before enrolling, to agree with him/her to make a Learning Agreement with all the courses that you want to enrol and the type of recognition that applied for that course.
COSTS
The payment of tuition fees abroad is waived. Some partners might, however, require payment for minor administrative fees. The student is still responsible for the cost of any books and materials required for the course. For further information we invite you to refer to the websites and factsheets of the various partners.
