GRANTS AND AIDS

Students can apply for the financial aid offered by the Ministry of Education and Science through the URL's Grants Agreement (tel. 93 602 22 01 · bego@rectorat.url.edu). In addition to this type of grant, each institution has its own systems of financial aids to the student, which can be broken down into the following types: study grants, soft loans, scholarships, preferential loans with financial bodies and discounts in the cost of teaching because of low family income.

BLANQUERNA FOUNDATION. Financial aids for students
The Blanquerna Foundation offers a maximum of 40 grants for students matriculating for the first time in any one of the Blanquerna centres to help them pay the cost of their studies. These do not ordinarily exceed 40% of the total cost for the academic year. Students who have received grants can renew the grant each year as long as they meet the established criteria. In addition, the Foundation offers financial grants for first, second, third and fourth year students.Grants and the financial aids provided by the Blanquerna Foundation are compatible with other public or private grants or financial aids whose conditions so allow.     ESADE

ESADE is a private, not-for-profit institution that does not receive any state subsidies. Nonetheless, from the outset we have always wished to make our studies available to people with the necessary qualifications and motivation. ESADE offers two lines of finance for your studies: participation in the grants programme and access to loans in special conditions. ESADE has a grant fund that is fed by external contributions and by the institution itself. The ESADE Foundation manages and administers this fund. These grants are awarded once the candidate has been admitted as a student. The Grants Committee awards the grants on the basis of the applicant's academic record and always carefully considers the financial circumstances of each individual.

In parallel, ESADE has entered into agreements with different financial entities for financing study loans to cover up to the full amount of the programme. Loans are considered a usual way of financing studies at the ESADE. Each year, students receive a loan from a partner financial entity to cover course costs and the main loan is paid back in advantageous conditions on a quarterly basis once they complete their studies.
You can find details of all the types of grants and finance at: Study grants and subsidies.

PERE TARRÉS FOUNDATION. Pere Tarrés University Schools of Social Work and Education

The Pere Tarrés University Schools do not receive any direct ordinary public subsidy or grant to finance Social Work and Social Education studies. However, students may be awarded personal grants for their studies from the Ministry of Education and Science, those managed by the Catalan Quality Agency, or other institutions. In the same way, so that no one should be denied the chance to study with us for financial reasons, the Pere Tarrés Foundation earmarks part of its income to financing grants for these studies.

To apply for a grant from the Pere Tarrés Foundation to study university diploma courses in Social Work or Social Education you must be registered for more than 30 credits. If the student has still not registered for the course when the application is presented, this application will not be processed until the student is properly registered. Please bear in mind that grants are not awarded automatically by the Pere Tarrés Foundation. The grants committee will decide whether or not to award the grant according to the financial and academic criteria considered. Second or third year students already awarded a grant by the Foundation in the past must present a new application with all the necessary documents. Being awarded a grant the previous year is not guarantee that it will be awarded the following year: students’ personal and family situation must be reconsidered at each application. Further information.
