The Ramon Llull University has an Office for the Transfer
of Research Results (OTRI), currently divided into four sections:
Sarrià
Chemical Institute IQS: PEINUSA
For more than forty years the IQS as an entity has been working
in continual cooperation with companies and industries to
which it applies its knowledge to the solution of specific
real problems that arise, innovating in procedures and technologies.
PEINUSA is the company that channels the work and studies
made by the IQS towards companies by offering services to
industry, in the field of chemicals, biotechnology, materials
and microbiology. It also offers services to companies, the
result of an experience acquired with the Masters course in
Industrial Company Management.
La
Salle Technology Transfer
Over more than one hundred years dedicated to providing training,
La Salle has acquired a slid knowledge base from its teaching
activities (degree courses, masters and doctorates in engineering,
architecture and management), research activities and activities
linked to the corporate world. This experience led to the
creation ten years ago of La Salle Technology Transfer, the
aim of which is to transfer technological know-how generated
at the university to companies. This project is very closely
linked to the La Salle Technological and Corporate Innovation
Park, which provides the university with a clear, close-up
and wide view of the corporate world.
As a result of this decade of activity, at La Salle Technology
Transfer we have progressively increased our areas of expertise.
We currently have more than ten fields of technological action
with more than one hundred professionals from different backgrounds.
This structure provides the flexible, multidisciplinary character
that has enabled us to consolidate projects in outstanding
companies in the sector.
The services we offer to companies are based upon innovation,
making it possible to come up with new products and services,
using both emerging and well-consolidated technologies. Needless
to say, we are aware of the importance of time in the process
of technological change in companies, and during this period,
we have clearly shown our awareness of their needs in order
correctly to manage innovation. Furthermore, to provide them
with further information as they decide among different technological
options in each project, we offer a state-of-the-art monitoring
service to for the technologies, products and services that
can affect their business.
In sum, the innovative, multidisciplinary and flexible scenario
in which we are moving allows us to become their strategic
ally in technology and training. Thus, La Salle Technology
Transfer can link up with companies to become two closely-related
partners in the mid or long term to move forward together
to achieve a common goal - innovation.

Blanquerna Tecnologia i Serveis
Blanquerna Tecnologia i Serveis S.L. is a services company
that combines research, innovation and professional training,
all elements inherent to university teaching, with the practical
application of this knowledge. The following services are
provided: Biomechanics laboratory, a service offering advice
and psychological help, advice and psychopedagogical integration
to students, a university books and reviews publishing service,
and a service for producing and disseminating audiovisual
works. The following services are provided:
Advice and psychological help to students
Our reasons for offering this service are in part because
we want to offer more services to Blanquerna Foundation students
and, indeed to all students of the Ramon Llull University
during the time they study with us, but partly also to provide
an opportunity for the professional development of both teaching
staff and recent graduates from the Faculty of Psychology
and Educational Sciences.
The advice and psychological help service provides guidance
and support to students throughout their time at university,
and also to teaching and non-teaching staff faced with needs
that may arise throughout their personal and emotional development.
They are offered guidance and psychological support which
allow them a greater awareness of possible problems, facing
up to these and resolving them in terms of their personal
development and mental well-being. This could include their
personal well-being or as part of a relationship, with help
being provided by a team of professionals qualified in clinical
psychology and psychotherapy.
Advice and psychopedagogical integration service
This service is available to schools and families and aims
to contribute to improving educational processes through advice
and, if necessary, action in the face of difficult situations
that often emerge in the development of children and young
people.
This service offers advice, analysis, assessment and design
of proposals to optimise aspects in teaching - learning processes,
such as attention to diversity, teaching to learn, specific
teaching strategies, and so on. In addition it offers psychopedagogical
assessment and, if necessary, individual or group-based support
in situations that require specific methods, such as understanding
difficulties, the personal conditions of disabled persons,
different levels of performance, or problems in specific areas
and contents.
University books and reviews publishing service
This service has been set up to allow the dissemination
of scientific and university works through publishing books
and reviews. It will also facilitate relations between students
of the Faculty of Communication Sciences and the world of
work through the release of publications for general use.
Service for the production and dissemination of audiovisual
works
This service enables the creation and production of audiovisual
products, and involves the drafting, management and design
of scripts for television, video, radio and multimedia.
Biomechanics laboratory
This service aims to respond to society's needs in
the healthcare, work and legal areas.
1) In the healthcare area, objective biomechanical assessments
are made to help in medical diagnoses and follow-up on the
rehabilitation process.
2) In the work-related area, objective data are provided to
assist in assessing and preventing muscular-skeletal risks
in different tasks, and optimising working conditions through
a comparative study of different working methods based on
variations in posture, gesture and ergonomics.
3) In the legal area, different legal bodies are afforded
the possibility to make objective assessments of the after-effects
on the locomotor apparatus.
Pere
Tarrés Social Projects (in catalan)
